The Toyota Prius continues to set the benchmark for environmental motoring, with the latest version of the world’s best-selling hybrid car scooping the award for Best Economical Car at the Carbuyer Best Cars Awards 2017.
Acknowledging the Prius’ fuel economy, Stuart Milne, Editor of Carbuyer, said of the Prius: “Few cars offer better mpg figures than the Toyota Prius, which is capable of a remarkable 94.2mpg in ideal conditions. Out in the real world, figures of 70-80mpg should be easy to achieve, numbers that were unthinkable just a few short years ago.
Now in its 4th generation, the Toyota Prius is something of a hybrid icon. Offering increased efficiency, a quieter drive and an intelligent design that encompasses Toyota Safety Sense features as standard. Plus benefitting from ultra-low emissions means those in London can be exempted with the London congestion charge*.
With a starting price of £23,600, the Prius is available in four models, Active, Business Edition, Business Edition Plus and Excel, each offering additional features and design qualities.
