New Toyota Corolla

The Toyota Auris is back on British streets under a new yet familiar name: the Corolla. Complete with a bold new look, a dynamic driving experience, and the very latest in engine and in-car technology, it’s set to provide comfortable and contemporary motoring with style to spare.

Sophisticated Design

The new Corolla is available in three body styles: hatchback, Touring Sports, and saloon. A practical family car, it ensures you travel in style thanks to sweeping lines, a sporty silhouette, and a choice of striking wheel designs. View it from the front and you won’t fail to notice the wide stance and imposing grille, which sits below the shapely headlamps. From the side, it’s all sleek sophistication, with a high shoulder line and tapering roof.

The harmonious design continues in the cabin, with soft materials giving a sense of quality and an elegant fascia that places all the car’s information and controls at your fingertips. The Corolla’s wheelbase has been extended compared to its Auris predecessor too, meaning rear passengers have more space to get comfortable and there’s ample room for luggage in the boot.

Enhanced Technology

Along with its new look, the Toyota Corolla sports a raft of technologies to enhance your drive. The infotainment system is accessed via an eight-inch touchscreen, which displays graphics clearly and crisply for easy navigation. If you prefer to keep your eyes on the road, opt for the head-up display, which projects key data onto the windscreen. Satellite navigation is also available on all but the entry level models.

Agile Performance

Performance is where the new Toyota Corolla really shines. Each of the three models is available with the 1.8-litre self-charging hybrid engine, which offers a confident and smooth drive. Choose the hatchback or Touring Sports version and you will have the option of a 2.0-litre hybrid for an even more dynamic drive.

A lower centre of gravity combines with a more rigid structure and advanced suspension setup to produce an agile ride, with fluent steering and excellent poise through corners. The bumps of UK roads are soaked up admirably too, making for a comfy experience.

Safety As Standard

The new Corolla follows in the footsteps of all the latest models from the Japanese manufacturer, in that it features a high level of safety kit as standard. The Toyota Safety Sense system incorporates Pre-Collision Assist – which helps to prevent rear end collisions – Lane Departure Alert, Adaptive Cruise Control, and more to keep you, your passengers and other road users protected. There’s also Automatic High Beam, which dips the headlights when it detects oncoming vehicles, and switches back to high beam when the road is clear.
