Jack Millward, one of the Service Advisors at RMB Toyota Teesside has recently visited Toyota’s vehicle manufacturing plant in Derbyshire to collect his certificate for graduating from the Toyota Academy.
Jack joined the service team at RMB Toyota Teesside in October 2013 as the team's first apprentice service advisor and embarked on Toyota's respected apprentice programme 'Toyota Academy, which he graduated from late last year.
The Toyota Academy offers young adults the opportunity to work in full time employment at a Toyota dealership around the UK, whilst partaking in vocational training at the state of the art Apprentice Academy in Nottingham, which they visit 3 times a year. With a range of motoring fields to choose from, apprentices complete either a 2 or 3 year apprenticeship with the length dependant on the discipline chosen.
We spoke to Jack to find out what he thought about the Toyota Academy, “The programme has been a valuable experience. Over the last 2 years I’ve visited the academy 6 times which helped to enhance the knowledge I gained through working in the dealership”.
We also spoke to Jack’s line manager Andrew Bleasby who heads up the service team at RMB Toyota Teesside, “I remember Jack walking in off spec looking for a job and within 5 minutes I offered him a position with the company. I certainly could see the potential and he hasn’t let us down. He’s now progressed to a Senior Service Advisor and I’m sure if he keeps up the hard work he will become a successful Manager in years to come”.
Congratulations on graduating from the Toyota Academy Jack, we wish you even more success going forward.
