The Ford Focus always ranks in the top ten cars sold in the UK, along with the Fiesta. Since its introduction in 1998, nearly two million Ford Focus models have been sold in the UK.
The design of the 2018 Ford Focus brings it together with other new models recently launches by Ford. With a bigger grille and horizontal headlights, more curves and angles, the Ford Focus is definitely more cohesive with the rest of the Ford range. You will be able to choose from 13 colours including Orange Glow, Desert Island Blue and Dark Mulberry (only available on Vignale). The range starts with the Zetec trim and builds through Titanium, ST-Line, Vignale and Active.
Take a seat inside the new Ford Focus and you'll experience softer materials around the door and instrument panel as well as polished glass or brushed finishes which are made available depending on the version you choose. There's also fine-grain wood effect and leather options if you go for Vignale, a carbon-fibre-effect finishes as well as red stitching with the ST-Line and additions that give a more rugged feel to the Active.
You'll enjoy advanced safety technology including an adaptive cruise control system, a lane-centring system, and a new stop-start system. An 8" touch-screen with Ford SYNC 3, B&O Play audio, as well as a wireless charging pad are included, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come as standard along with DAB and Bluetooth.
Both petrol and diesel engines will be available with the new Ford Focus, including the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, a new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine and new 1.5 and 2.0-litre diesel engines. All of these options are available with Ford's new eight-speed automatic gearbox or a six-speed manual. A new chassis and suspension improve the comfort of the ride and noise, whilst also improving noise, vibration and harshness. For the first time in Focus history, drivers are able to choose between normal, sport and eco driving modes. We can't wait to try them all.
The new Ford Focus will go on sale in the UK later in 2018, so keep posted for further updates on this hitting the RMB Ford Northallerton showroom.
