Senior Service Advisor

Due to continued growth we are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Service Advisor / Service Team Leader for our Renault dealership in Darlington.

As a Senior Service Advisor you would be the first point of contact for the customer from initial "meet and greet", through to processing and finalising the invoice upon completion of work, then handing the keys back to the customer. You will demonstrate strong negotiation skills as a Senior Service Advisor when processing the work, keeping the customer right up to date and effectively resolving any issues should they arise whilst balancing and managing both the company's and the customer's expectations. Excellent customer service is an essential for this role, and equally, so is managing and communicating the workload with the team of technicians and service advisors, so a strong automotive after-sales experience and presence is a must.

Role and Responsibilities

This is a customer focused position to provide excellent support and administrative service between the customer and Service Centre. As the face of RMB it is important to the centre to plan and coordinate Service activity to maximise workshop/bodyshop utilisation and profitability, as well as ensuring complete customer satisfaction.

  • Builds rapport and qualifies customers’ requirements while maximising selling opportunities
  • Agrees the details of the work that is to be carried out and co-ordinates activities to deliver agreed work (on time/cost)
  • Keeps apace of product updates, changes within the industry and current legislation
  • Works as a full member of the Centre team
  • Knowledge of workshop loading systems would be beneficial but not essential

What you can expect

  • Customer Service experience within a franchised dealership or bodyshop
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Full valid UK Driving licence
  • Good literacy, numeracy and computer skills
