You can also have a wheelchair accessible vehicle on a
5 year agreement or buy a new or used car on hire purchase
over two to 5 years.
To use any of the motability schemes you must receive one
of the following benefits:
- Higher rate mobility component of the disability allowance
- War Pensioners Mobility Supplement
A parent or carer can apply on behalf of a child aged three
or older who is receiving the higher rate mobility allowance.
