Long-standing RMB Toyota Customer Honoured With OBE

Earlier this week RMB Toyota Teesside had the pleasure of giving Stuart Cornwell’s Toyota Land Cruiser a full valet in preparation for its visit to Buckingham Palace.

Mr Cornwell who is a long-standing RMB customer, is set to visit Buckingham Palace on Thursday 2nd March for his OBE (Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) inauguration.

Awarded in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours List, Mr Cornwell who is the Chairman of Spurgeons, a leading children’s charity within the UK has been recognised for his outstanding work over the last decade. Working with Spurgeons, A Way Out and Safe Families for Children, Mr Cornwell’s work has made a significant difference to thousands in the UK and overseas.

Mr Cornwell said of his achievement:

"I feel immensely honoured and privileged to receive this award. Ultimately, however, it would never have happened without many encounters and partnerships with gifted and generous people who have worked alongside; shared their expertise; and helped improve the circumstances of some of society’s most vulnerable children and adults”.

RMB Toyota Service Manager, Andrew Bleasby arranged for Mr Cornwell’s Land Cruiser to receive the royal treatment. Helping to ensure it’s looking its absolute best for the all-important drive into Buckingham Palace.

Now onto his third Toyota Land Cruiser, Mr Cornwell has been driving Toyota’s for over 17 years and has no intention of changing to a different manufacturer anytime soon. Having been a RMB customer for over 10 years, Andrew presented Mr Cornwell with a bottle of The Balvenie Whiskey to congratulate him on his great achievement.

Andrew Bleasby, RMB Toyota Teesside Service Manager, said:

“I was so pleased to find out the news from Stuart. I’ve known Stuart for over 10 years since dealing with his previous vehicles at our Toyota dealership in Northallerton, and couldn’t think of anyone more deserving of this achievement.”

On behalf of RMB Toyota we would like to congratulate Mr Cornwell once again on his outstanding accomplishment and hope he enjoys every moment of Thursday.
