Head-turning design

A daring design inspired by the razor-sharp contours of a cut diamond, the C-HR’s jagged lines carve out an impressive portrait, with added emphasis on a floating roof that leads to an overhanging spoiler at the rear. Toyota has utilised the angular approach to styling that made the recent Prius a masterpiece, creating an SUV that marries utility with the look of a compact sports car.

Sophisticated interiors

The focus is on the driver once inside the all-new C-HR. Sitting atop a wraparound dash with distinctive blue insert is the Toyota Touch 2 multimedia system’s seven-inch colour touchscreen, pivoted to face the driver. Toyota hasn’t scrimped on quality interiors, with soft-touch materials used throughout and gloss black inserts adding even more style. Other trendy details include a diamond pattern that repeats in the door trim and headlining, multifunction steering wheel-mounted buttons and climate controls. Leg and headroom is surprising given the sloping roofline, and visibility from the high-set driver’s seat is excellent.

Reliable and efficient

Power is delivered to the Toyota C-HR hybrid from the same 1.8-litre 120bhp petrol-electric hybrid unit and CVT transmission that is used in the successful Prius. The hybrid is a great option for drivers looking for a reliable and efficient urban runaround. Regulating CO² output as low as 87g/km and with a combined fuel efficiency of 74.3mpg, the C-HR is the environmentally friendly crossover. Choose from Normal, Sport and Eco driving modes that tweak the weight of the steering and throttle response to your journey.

Five-star safety

Toyota’s Safety Sense technologies offer uncompromising protection to the C-HR hybrid and throughout the range. This includes a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert and adaptive cruise control. It’s easy to see why the all-new C-HR was awarded a five-star safety rating from Euro NCAP. Upgrade to the Excel or Dynamic trim level for even more safety features, such as cross-traffic alert and Blind-Spot Monitoring.
